My Own Small Man Cave Ideas – A Cave Pub!

My Small Man idea is to have a Cave Pub inside my own house. It is our party place as well as our hangout den. It has different types of lighting, most of the time we prefer dim lights but when there is a celebration there are different bright lights to give the feeling of a stage. We have installed colored light options as well to change the mood according to the friends we are hosting.

It depends on the mood basically whether we want to have a quiet time or a full on party. We have focused mainly on the lights because in a cave pub it creates all the difference. It controls the vibe of that place. There is a surround sound system for the music. I have invested in good speakers because music is a medicine for my mind.

The place gives a very hyped up feeling while partying and sometimes it creates a cozy chill environment best suited for spending some quality time. We have also installed a sump pump to resolve the water issues and a dehumidifier for the perfect air quality. I have a few automatic room fresheners installed in the corner which spray every half an hour and soothe the mood with my favorite jasmine aroma.

Here is the step by step process if you want a cave pub for your own!

Creating a cozy cave pub in your small basement as a man cave is a fun and satisfying project. It’s all about bringing the bar vibes home, where you can hang out, unwind, and entertain without ever leaving the house. Here’s a DIY guide to get you started:

1. Pick the Right Spot: Choose a small corner or wall for your bar setup. This keeps it intimate and fits well with the small man cave ideas, maximizing the space.

2. Install a Bar Counter: You can either purchase a premade small bar counter or DIY one using wooden boards and pallets. A compact counter with shelves for storage works best for a smaller basement. Use wallpaper to cover the counter with your choice of color.

3. Add Shelving for Drinks: Install floating shelves or use a small cabinet for your liquor, mixers, and glasses. This adds a neat and organized look to your bar space. Also, Use some pictures and funny portraits for the disguise. Mine has a monalisa picture drinking red bull.

4. Lighting and Ambiance: Use LED strip lights or Edison bulbs to create a warm, pub-like atmosphere. Smart lighting allows you to adjust colors for different moods.

5. Mini Fridge for Cold Drinks: A mini-fridge is essential to store cold drinks and ice. Opt for a small but efficient model that fits into the bar area without taking up too much space.

6. Personal Touches: Add bar stools, a dartboard, or framed sports memorabilia to complete the vibe. Don’t forget to hang up a personalized pub sign to make the space uniquely yours.

7. Name your Cave Pub! It’s fun to give your small pub a name you like. Ours is called Ballr.
